Game management in Victoria is governed by several acts and regulations. This section lists the laws that are most relevant to game hunting in Victoria.

Wildlife Act 1975
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986
The following codes of practice under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act apply to game hunting and game bird farms:
- Code of Practice for the Welfare of Animals on Private Game Reserves Licensed to Hunt Game Birds
